Aqaba, Jordan: Getting a Location Right

Aqaba is in Jordan, not Qatar. The Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority's marine reserve page identifies its location in Jordan, on the Gulf of Aqaba. That is the geographic answer to establish before filling in an address or correcting a directory entry.

A public address usually appears in several forms: a sentence a person reads, fields a form stores, a map result and structured data attached to a page. Treat them as views of the same information. Fixing one view should lead you to inspect the others.

Work through a location-only example

Suppose you are making a project page that names a city but does not publish a street address. Use the following illustrative location record, not an invented office address:

The visible location line can read Aqaba, Jordan. In an Arabic version, it can read العقبة، الأردن. A form with separate city and country fields should keep the values separate. If a street address is required, obtain the actual address from its owner; a city name does not supply the missing street or building.

Attach the field name and a screenshot if the entry is only visible after expanding a menu. A screenshot of the page title alone may miss the incorrect field. If you control the page, change the underlying value and inspect the saved result before marking the correction complete.

Verify the same record in both languages

Open the English and Arabic versions and inspect the location text, map destination and any address fields. Then view the page description and structured address emitted by the page. Record which surface you checked and when.

Keep the geographic correction precise. Whether a business occupies a particular building, is registered at an address or serves a location needs its own evidence. The example above establishes a city and country; it intentionally supplies no street address for STEADYWRK or anyone else.
